Compatibility

Brand / engine Compatible Notes
SAIL ER (engines fitted with a 10-pin side-mount control from the factory) Yes Original replacement part.
Yamaha (703-series side-mount controls, with electric trim) Yes, in most cases Yamaha itself makes its 703 control box in 10-pin (ref. 703-48205) for engines with electric trim/tilt. Confirm the pinout against your specific model/year.
Parsun / Hidea / Hangkai / SeaPro / HDX and similar Asian-made outboard brands Yes, typically These manufacturers commonly use the same Yamaha-pattern wiring standard. Check the connector before buying.
Suzuki Not directly compatible Suzuki uses its own connectors (Sumitomo, 8-pin), with a different shape and pin assignment. Would require an adapter or rewiring.
SAIL (electric-start-only engines, no factory-fitted control) No These engines are not factory-prepared for a side-mount remote control.
Engines without electric power trim & tilt on the lever Not needed The simpler, cheaper 7-pin version is sufficient for these engines.

General guidance based on the most common wiring standards in the industry. Before purchasing, check the pin count and, if possible, the wiring diagram of your specific engine.
